My goals for 2019

It is that time of year again. We are all inspired by the new year that we plan and make resolutions for a great year. This year I am striving to be more specific about the goals I want to accomplish and how I would like to accomplish them.

Ready? Let us begin!

To read all classical books  required for my Master’s Degree course

This will be a very good goal to accomplish. Even though I don’t have the money to get my master’s degree, this shouldn’t mean I can’t get a head start and learn and read about the books required for the degree. After reading these books, I hope that I also be able to begin writing my thesis. I hope to accomplish all of the reading and draft of the thesis by November 2019.

To travel more

I have always wanted to travel. Paris has been on my bucket list for quite some time. However, I know that I will not have the money to travel there anytime soon. But, my family are planning a family trip to Alaska. So I am putting this on my goal’s list to travel this year. However, if I am unable to take this trip due to lack of funds, I am going to take a week off at the beach. But fingers crossed I will be able to go to Alaska in June.

To budget better

This means to actually have a spreadsheet to know what I am spending on. I am also going to start a spending journal, that way I know that money is going through the cracks. This will be essential to have some money for the said trip to Alaska. I hope to be able to go through the said budget in December, and see if I have gotten better idea of how I am spending my money. I also want to have at least a 1,000 dollars saved for a house I will buy someday, by December 31, 2019.

To find a most memorable moment in a picture in 2019 and have it framed and given to the family for Christmas. And in the same realm, to start a memory book. This book will have all pictures about me and my family and what we enjoy doing and ultimately spending time together.

And my last goal, is to continue to write, to write at least one complete book draft every three months, then edit for three months, and continue this pattern. I hope to have edited one book and written at least four more books by the end of 2019.

Alright, these are my goals for 2019. I hope I was clearer than last year what I would like to get out of my goals. Periodically I will post about my progress, so stay tuned for those post.

Have a great day,

Alyssa
