Getting Inspired

Hello my lovelies,
I know I haven’t been posting as much as I would like. Sometimes, I just don’t have the time to post or I can’t think of anything that is posting worthy. I don’t want to just post something to have it posted. Since I want you all to have the most influential information possible sometimes that means taking a bit longer in writing a post.
However, recently I have been inspired. I have been reading a lot of books lately and many of them have gotten me thinking about how I can live differently, passionately, and influentially.
A few weeks ago, I have been reading some books that got me thinking, such as “The Year of Less” and “Goodbye Things.” These books really inspired me to look at my life and what I can do differently.
So today I am going to share three things that I hope to do in the next couple of months to a year.

1. To spend less or buy less for a year.

This is essential for me if you read on to my second and third things I am planning to do in the next couple of months to next year.  Although I  am living at home, I still have rent and things that I need to pay for, such as the licence for this website. Even though I do have the money to treat myself to clothes and other fun stuff, if I want to have money to open my own jewelry store and have money to travel, I really need to cut back and save every single penny.  I much rather have memories than have a closet full of clothes and material things. I will dedicate another post on how I am going to do this.

2. To start an Etsy shop.

This has been in the works for nearly 4 years now. I just need to bit the bullet and just do it. I am a perfectionist when it comes to doing something. If I can’t get it perfect, or know the outcome then I tend to put off things. I know it took me awhile to start a blog, and even more time to be comfortable posting.  So I know  it will take time for me to be comfortable at selling, but I love to make jewelry for my friends, so why not do it for a profit.

3. Travel to Paris next summer.

I have always wanted to travel here and possibly split my time in USA and Paris in the future.  The way I am going to go about this is to hopefully to get some profit from my Etsy shop as well as finding a part-time job, either something that I can do online or in a physical space. If you know of any job openings let me know in the comments. Since I am young and single, this is the perfect time for me to travel. I don’t want to look on later in life and feel like I missed my opportunity to explore the world for a bit.

Alright, that is all for this post. If you have been inspired recently let me know in the comments, I would love to hear from you.

Have a great week,

Alyssa
