Having a Relaxing Hour

We all want to have a day to ourselves. No work, no cleaning, just every moment filled with whatever we fancy doing or not doing. However, sometimes the reality is that we can’t take a personal day to ourselves.  There is too much to do. If you are feeling that you seriously need a vacation, but don’t have the time or money to do so, then this post is for you. I will be giving my personal tips to have a relaxing hour to two that will leave you refreshed and ready to take on whatever you need to do.

Ready? Let’s start with tip number 1.

Tip number one seems like a no brainer.

 Get your work done early.

I am a self-confessed morning person. I love waking up and getting as much personal work as I can before lunch, if I am off work. If you get your work done early in the day, then you can have an afternoon to yourself. A few ways to do this is to make a to-do list the night before, then in the morning wake up and tackle the list until there is nothing left to do. Really be strict with yourself. Don’t check emails until you have done a couple of things. For me, I know if I check my emails or YouTube before I workout or do some reading and writing, then it is a sure way that I will waste the morning on surfing instead of being productive. Do what you need to really focus and get tasks done.

The second tip is

Delegate tasks

Although we want to believe that we can do everything ourselves, the reality is that there is always someone that can do a task quicker and with better quality than you. So if you cannot do a certain task that your work requires, don’t be afraid to delegate it to someone else. That way it frees you up to do the things that you enjoy and are more gifted and talented in.

And the third tip is

Free up your afternoons and evenings for fun events.

This is third because you must do tips 1 and two in order for this to work. In coincidence with number one, getting your work done sooner in the day will help you free up some time in the afternoon to do something fun. This can be going to a theme park, zoo, or having an afternoon at the beach.  It doesn’t even have to be expensive, just somewhere where you know you can put whatever cares and worries aside and just relax and enjoy the moment.  Have some fun with a night out with friends or just invite friends over for some quality time. Not everyone can afford to go away somewhere for a vacation. But the good news is that you don’t have to. You can be even more relaxed and refreshed spending time with the friends and family you love.

I hope thees tips were helpful for you. If you have any more recommendations let me know in the comments.

Have a great day,

Alyssa
